Description:

The Historical Center for Southeast New Mexico features a painstakingly restored bottom floor, filled with artifacts from the early 20th century, such as a gas-burning cookstove, hundreds of everyday utensils, and an ice box. Its second floor features a rotating selection of exhibits that focus on such diverse subjects as "American Fashion" or displays of toys from the period while the third floor houses the Historical Society's archives, including rare books and photos of early Southeastern New Mexico. The museum is located in the downtown area, within walking distance of Cahoon Park.
